Welcome to Monumentenstrasse 19! Among the most compelling features of this classic stucco period building from 1910 are its intricate façade with its reliefs, orioles and wooden double-cased windows featuring transom and mullion grids. Another striking detail is the semi-circular window in the central pediment. The five-storey building, which combines commercial and residential units, divides into a front, side and back building, grouped around an inner courtyard with old-growth trees that is split in two by the back building. The flats inside the apartment building have generously proportioned floor plans and range from 1 to 4 bedrooms and from around 43 to 127 square metres in residential floor area. The flats feature either tub- or shower-equipped bathrooms. Some of the flats are fitted with both tub and shower for extra comfort whereas others include an additional guest WC. A number of flats also feature one or more balconies that are the perfect place for taking it easy during the warm summer months. Redevelopment and refurbishment works in 2019 will include the installation of additional balconies, which will be attached to the back and side building. The ground-floor flats facing the quiet inner courtyards will get a small patio each. Most of the classy period flats still include original Belle Époque elements, which have been carefully preserved and restored. Eye-catching stucco ornaments grace the tall ceilings, large wooden double-cased windows admit plenty of light into the interior, and high-end parquetry or board flooring creates a warm and cosy ambience.
