Weserstraße is a street with classy old buildings located in the eastern part of Friedrichshain in a quiet neighborhood. Tree-lined alleys with huge walkways are typical for this area in Berlin. Off the main streets you’ll find quietness and nice renovated old-buildings. The Berlin-wide known Boxhagener Platz, also called Boxi, is only a few meters away from Weserstraße and as garden memorial it will remain its charm for a long while. This is the place to relax, let your children play on the playground or enjoy the Saturday market. Apart from a wide range of parks and green areas in the district itself, the Spree and the south-east located Rummelsburger Bucht are worth a visit too. The area around Weserstraße offers an optimal connection to the public transport system. The S- and the U-Bahn are reachable by foot and those trains will bring you to each corner of the city. From the junctions Frankfurter Tor or Warschauer Straße you’re able to reach the main-line station Ostbahnhof or the airport Schönefeld in no time. The quality of life at and around Weserstraße is uplifted by the close-by shopping street Frankfurter Allee with its small shops and big shopping mall. It’s connected to Karl-Marx-Allee, which leads directly to Berlin-Mitte. If you take a look outside of the district, you’ll find the huge Tierpark, the Treptower park and the east located Landschaftspark Herzberge. If you prefer vibrant city life, you’re right at the center of it. Apart from quiet places, the neighborhood offers a wide range of cafés and restaurants with a huge variety for each taste. Small galleries, cinemas and the Mercedes-Benz arena will make your spare time heavily pleasant.
