Who’s not on the hunt for old-building charme while living in a green environment? The rich in green and lake city district in north Berlin, Tegel, where Bernstorffstraße 12 is situated, is preferred by singles, couples and families that enjoy the well-balanced mixture of urban living in relaxing atmosphere. One charming old-building is lining next to each other in Bernstorffstraße. Cozy atmosphere is provided by sealed and mostly modernized façade parts and lined old trees. The five storey high building in Bernstorffstraße 12 fits right into this harmonic picture. The well-groomed residential and commercial building from 1906 welcomes its residents with a typical of the age round arch entry. On the ground floor there is a leased commercial unit with approximately 113 square meters, of which approximately 91 square meters can be used as a retail space. The three rooms of the shop unit extend over the front building and the side wing. In addition, there is a kitchen, a toilet and two small storage rooms. Once you get out of the subway line 6 at Alt-Tegel, you’re right in the center of the ancient village Alt-Tegel. From this center the village Tegel grew into the 3rd biggest city district of Reinickendorf and it is nowadays considered as the most green- and water-wealthy parts of Berlin. Bernstorffstraße is located close to the subway station and it’s a quiet side street of the Berliner Straße, a busy shopping street that crosses the district. Here you can find various retailers, medical practices and a shopping center at the ‘Hallen am Borsigturm’. A visit to the movies is possible at the CineStar as well as sporty activities are in the gym and at the Bowling center. Only a few meters away you can easily reach the newly designed Tegel-Center in the middle of the pedestrian road in Gorkistraße. Tegel is impressively green and water-rich. Just the Tegeler lake invites for a round trip by foot or bike. Starting at the Greenwichpromenade with a former steamer dog, a lake terrace and a beergarden, one can start his expedition into an impressive neighborhood. You cross the ‘Tegeler Forst’ and the ‘Tegeler Fließ’, which almost gives you the impression of being on holiday. A well-balanced educational landscape characterizes the district as well as bustle culture life does. It’s not the big museums and names that characterize the environment but it’s the steadily over years grown art- and culture-scene, that builds up on a strong community. A model project is the art center ‘Tegel-Süd’ with studios for local artists that offer course units, open up their galleries and exhibit at surrounding places. But as life is not only composed of spare time, Tegel profits from a solid developed infrastructure. The public transport system has a dense net of subway-, S-Bahn- and bus-stations to offer that’ll transport you in no time to the city center.
