On Weissdornweg/Wacholderstieg in Eiche, a western locality of Potsdam known for its greenery and science institutions, investors now have the chance to make their dream of an auspicious investment come true. Embedded in a residential area that seems inspired by American suburbs, the BERRY property optimally blends into its green and peaceful local setting. Especially for young people, the location so close to a modern science hub opens up a long-term perspective. A total of twelve tenant-occupied apartments of 1 to 3 bedrooms measuring between about 33 to 75 square metres await new owners in a well-appointed housing estate. Depending on their size, the clever floor plans are characterised either by a classic arrangement of living room – bedroom – kitchen and bathroom, and are designed for any domestic situation. At a Glance: • Apartments of 1 to 3 bedrooms • Floor areas of about 33 - 75 sqm • Bathrooms with natural light and tub • Balconies • Bicycle parking • Play and community areas in the idyllic inner courtyard • Energy performance: 131 kWh (Wacholderstieg) / 109.2 kWh (Weissdornweg)
Located west of Potsdam, Eiche is of distinctly rural character. The low-density development structure of the locality translates into a high recreational value and a pleasant living ambience for local residents. This is explained not least by the fact that the locality lies on a green peninsula west of the inner city. In recent years, new-build construction projects have breathed new life into the area and further increased its popularity. A satellite campus of the University of Potsdam is located in the immediate vicinity, as are the city’s Science Park, Max-Planck Institute and the Fraunhofer Institute. Quite a number of student cafés have opened up in the area. The vibrant mix of academia, urban routines and campus life invests this part of town with a young and enterprising spirit. At the same time, it boasts great infrastructure amenities including shopping venues, restaurants, doctors’ offices and educational facilities that extend into the neighbouring locality of Golm along Kaiser-Friedrich-Strasse in the south. The Golm railway station near the satellite campus provides convenient service connections not just to the inner city of Potsdam but also to the metropolis of Berlin beyond. Eiche with its green and tranquil ambience on the western periphery of Potsdam represents a pleasant alternative to the urban bustle of downtown Potsdam right next door: Scenic spots in the area include the woodlands of Potsdamer Forst in the district of Bornim to the north, the Crown Estate of Bornstedt and the Palace Grounds of Sanssouci to the East, and the Wildpark forest in the south, which on around 875 hectares represents one of the oldest and finest examples of the landscaping ambitions of the Prussian court.
