Berlin, May 17, 2021 – ACCENTRO Real EstateAG , a residential real estate investor and Germany’s leading residential privatization company, looks back on a successful first quarter in residential privatization. In the first three months of the year, 135 units were sold individually to tenants, owner-occupiers, and investors. The total volume amounted to 51.4 million euros, with 32.3 million euros of that figure generated in March alone. This makes March the most successful month for individual sales in ACCENTRO’s corporate history. Overall, the first quarter of 2020 was significantly surpassed. During the same period last year, 95 units were sold for 26.0 million euros.
Furthermore, ACCENTRO’s existing pipeline for individual sales is well-stocked and includes properties with an expected sales value of around half a billion euros. These properties have already been legally subdivided and are therefore not subject to the recently enacted Building Land Mobilization Act for properties in “tight housing markets.” This pipeline lays the foundation for ACCENTRO’s continued successful business development in the coming years.
“Our success in residential privatization demonstrates homebuyers’ confidence in ACCENTRO. But it also highlights our sales strength and the quality of our products,” says Lars Schriewer, CEO of ACCENTRO Real Estate AG. “The high level of interest from private homebuyers despite the COVID-19 crisis is also a signal to policymakers to continue promoting homeownership. Homeownership is and remains in high demand,” adds Schriewer.
“ACCENTRO is excellently positioned in the market. We are evolving into a diversified residential investor that, in addition to our strong privatization business nationwide, is also building up our own portfolio,” Schriewer adds. Just recently, ACCENTRO successfully placed a bond issue worth 100 million euros in its entirety. The sole investor was a major pension fund.
