Berlin, November 13, 2020 – ACCENTRO Real EstateAG , Germany’s leading residential privatization company, is continuing its dynamic expansion. The company is acquiring 2,800 units. The portfolio consists of 2,789 residential units and 11 commercial units. ACCENTRO now has a total of approximately 5,200 units. The portfolio has more than doubled in one fell swoop. “With this acquisition, we are significantly accelerating our growth,” explains Lars Schriewer, CEO of ACCENTRO Real Estate AG. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
The appeal of the apartments is to be further enhanced for tenants through modernization measures. In doing so, ACCENTRO draws on its many years of expertise and an established network in asset and property management. “Value-enhancing measures, combined with our successful sales to private and institutional investors, sustainably strengthen the profitability of our business model,” says Schriewer.
Further Growth Planned
“We will continue to expand our real estate portfolio,” explains Schriewer. “We have the necessary financial flexibility to do so. At the same time, we can rely on the long-term, structural growth of the German residential real estate market as a solid foundation for our success,” says Schriewer.
“With the acquired portfolio, we are strengthening our position in attractive locations,” says Schriewer. The apartments are located in cities including Berlin, Leipzig, Halle, and Gera, and all feature good inner-city infrastructure as well as convenient access to local and regional public transportation. The portfolio has a leasable area of approximately 180,000 square meters.
