Berlin, November 11, 2016 – ACCENTRO Real EstateAG (WKN: A0KFKB, ISIN: DE000A0KFKB3), Berlin, continues its successful business performance with a strong third quarter. With quarterly revenue of EUR 66.9 million, revenue for the third quarter more than tripled compared to the same period last year (Q3 2015: EUR 20.4 million). Consolidated quarterly net income more than quadrupled to EUR 9.7 million (Q3 2015: EUR 2.2 million).
Strong Nine-Month Results with Successful Real Estate Sales
Consolidated revenue for the first nine months of fiscal year 2016 totaled EUR 140.5 million. ACCENTRO thus exceeded the revenue of the very strong prior-year period (EUR 138.4 million). Consolidated net income for the period from January 1 to September 30, 2016, amounted to EUR 17.0 million. “This encouraging business performance confirms our decision to propose, for the first time, the payment of a dividend for the 2016 fiscal year to our shareholders at the next Annual Shareholders’ Meeting,” said Jacopo Mingazzini, CEO of ACCENTRO.
Positive Development in the Privatization Business
Despite the disposal of real estate from the trading portfolio, which generated sales revenue of nearly EUR 74 million, ACCENTRO’s inventory remains virtually at the previous year’s level. “We will continue to use the proceeds from our real estate sales to strengthen our privatization portfolio and further improve our financing structure. In the fourth quarter of 2016, we expect to transfer properties with a total value of nearly EUR 30 million to our Group companies. The corresponding purchase agreements have already been notarized,” said Mingazzini.
ACCENTRO Continues to Grow
In the portfolio segment, ACCENTRO took advantage of the attractive market conditions to divest itself of several properties in secondary locations. The proceeds from these strategic sales were used to repay debt, thereby reducing the debt-to-equity ratio and increasing financial flexibility for the expansion of the privatization portfolio. At the same time, ACCENTRO is also expanding into new markets and business areas. “Berlin remains our core market. If attractive opportunities arise for us outside the capital, we will take advantage of them. Furthermore, given the tremendous boom in major German cities, we expect a further increase in new construction volume. We have positioned ourselves to capitalize on this development,” says Mingazzini.
